2024/25 Ashley Young

Only at Everton would a 39 year old back up to a 35 year old, still be getting minutes.

Worse is still to come as well, Everton won't be out there looking for an emergency right back. Nope, it'll be Mason Holgate there against Spurs next week.

Guaranteeing we will be stuck with him till next summer as he will have an absolute horror show there

Dyche slipped up should have got a photo of Mitoma - & told him that's who you are marking today prior to the game - away at Coventry we were torn apart by a Japanese or Taiwan winger - & they had a good no 10 - why o why we did not swoop to sign them both on that night to sign them - I just don't know ?

We look abroad - when there are better championship players close by ?
No premier league experience

You can go back and forth with this but it all falls down on dyches toes, I know young is crap you know young is crap yet a man who should by definition know more than us but yet carries on picking him.

Surely he is backup though, it's just that the 3 or 4 in front of him are all currently injured?

After that kind of performance though, you wonder why we can't have younger players like Dixon making similar mistakes but at least having the potential to learn and progress
That's the problem though, there aren't 3 or 4 in front of him, the 35 year old perennially injured Seamus Coleman is first choice and old Ashley is his back up, then you get down to Patterson, if he's ever fit and Holgate, God help us.
