Probably better offensively than last season and although Villa are a far better side.
we could have got something out of the game.
Loads of weaknesses.
Midfield too easily by passed and Keane's positioning is terrible. Dragged out of position far too easily.
Two chances DLC should have buried. Can't keep conceding 3 goals a game. Need Branthwaite back ASAP. Either play a 5 at the back to limit Keane's weakneses or go with O Brien who looked decent when he came on.

The bit today when we had a throw in a yard from the corner flag. Where Martinez got a booking.

And within like 2 passes it ended back to Pickford.

Painful.
Got the sense today was about not losing. Even at 2-0, especially at 2-0, it was about not repeating the Bournemouth game.

Painfully defensive. Painfully deficient even in that limited endeavour.

Not a great performance, but to put it in perspective: we were away to a Champions League team, few people gave us a prayer before the game, losing Myko was a massive blow which left us with a totally makeshift back four, we only lost to a wonder goal, and still nearly stole a point when DCL's shot rattled the bar.
Let’s put a little more perspective on it. We were 2-0 up and got beat 3-2. Again. That’s the reality. Villa were poor today and still managed to do us from a 2 goal deficit.

This fish gets the Evertonian experience

It doesn't matter if they're a CL team - we were 0-2 ahead. They aren't Man City. We can't shore ourselves up. At the very least you make the midfield organised and disciplined to hold some kind of shape.

Mykolenko was booed and harangued by Ukraine fans midweek for an abysnal performance v CZ. He should never have played. Duche doesnt even know these things. Hes checked out on a 5m bonus…

Don’t think I would have cared if we lost 1, 2 or maybe even 3-0. But we genuinely embarrass ourselves every single time. And I know a lot of clubs probably say the term laughing stock when they go through tought times, but we genuinely are. It’s painful supporting us at the minute and we as fans are dragged down week after week. Funk the positive spin
