Can’t argue with that draw at all, and there’s going to be at least two teams from lower divisions in the round after as well.

Hopefully we get past Burnley and the draw opens up for us.

Really top notch result for us that tonight, can’t remember the last time we had a really decent cup result.

Got to keep the momentum going against Luton, we couldn’t ask for a better next fixture.

It won't work against every team. We couldn't play the high press against arsenal or city because their defenders are too good on the ball. But it worked really well today
I am not so sure. Looks like a plan that has worked against Brentford and Villa who are not mugs. It is a low block that we struggle with. Don't get me wrong but we can do a low block quite well but when we concede we are done. This high press has prevented domination by the opposition it has also blocked off channels and forced errors that we have taken advantage off. The low block invites a team to dominate possession and as you say the better teams will keep us penned as we are unable to break our own low block. If we played against Arsenal with the same intent as Brentford and Villa we may have got something but then again they could of sliced through us................either way we would of lost either way.

We should have been 3 or 4 up tonight we were brilliant and forced errors, Onana really controlled the game and we missed him when he went off.
Don’t see us playing like that on Saturday

This is a win I didn’t expect, I hoped for a reasonable performance but I dared not expect to still be in this cup. I know that these two wins doesn’t make us Barcelona but it rekindles the hope that we can do enough to maintain our Premier League status. I have always believed that the players we had were capable of better things than they were producing but I had lost hope that they would find a way to produce it. I don’t think Sean Dyche is a good enough manager to win us something, I am convinced our senior management structure is not fit for purpose, I have concerns that success on the field will mean reflected glory on Kenwright and Morshiri but I never want to see this team lose. We are Everton, for us survival is not success.

What an enjoyable watch and great support from the away fans.

Echo the comments. Onana looks better in a regulation two man central midfield as a #6 with Garner impressing as more of an #8.

Tarkowski and Branthwaite two very good centre halves - shame about the general state of Keane. Needless deflection for their goal when Pickford had it covered and he fell over earlier in the half but thankfully Jordan Lee Pickford saved his blushes.

Love Beto but DCL does have more class and he's a far more accomplished finisher. Beto is a great option and when DCL gets injured we can relax knowing that we finally have a decent replacement and don't have to rely on Tom Thumb upfront.

Harrison looked very useful with the high press, Danjuma has a bit about him and brings something to the table. Wing backs limited going forward but did their job defensively. Pickford excellent as always.

Garner played Tielemans off the park and Onana just OWNED them in the middle especially on the half turn. So enjoyable. Hopefully Dyche keeps those two in the middle.

Win the next two home games and suddenly we can perhaps enjoy this season after all!
