The silence on these upcoming deals is deafening but in an absolutely fantastic way.

If you want my opinion on this Witsel transfer (not that you would), the fee & money side of things were concluded with Zenit 10 days ago. The delay has revolved around the players post Euro holiday, final salary negotiations & discussions with Koeman himself.
We are coming in under the radar on players early now - don't be fooled by the time transfers take to finally reach conclusion. We (the new Everton board) are a completely different animal.
What we (Koeman) wants, we will get provided it's not beyond the realms of reason.
Expect some more real highs soon, but perhaps a couple of ball aching lows before the window shuts.

Bizarrely this forum seems to handle the latter of these scenarios far better than the former. Debilitating semi final loss? Shrug of the shoulders, always next season. Rumours of a good player signing? Complete meltdown.
Funny innit, we're finding fault in world class players that we're potentially 'in' for and that are head & shoulders above a majority of what we have...and not so long ago we actively pursued Darren Fletcher et al.
