Agree with this. Kane is good, but not stellar. He has definitely been made to look better than he is by Tottenham's midfield. Arouna Kone would score 15 in a season playing in front of them.

Anyway, back on topic: Witsel wasn't great against Wales but he utterly bossed the Ireland game - it's unwise to judge a player on one individual game. £30m is a LOT of money though and if it was a straight either/or choice at that price, I'd go for Schneiderlin due to proven prem experience.

That's the thing about international knockout competitions, isn't it! Some random no-mark player always has a handful of decent appearances and gets snapped up for a wedge by some silly club - Robson-Kanu has got Newcastle written all over him.
