Transfer Rumour Axel Witsel

People need to give Everton a bit more credit here.

So you really thing they are not aware that Witsel is looking for the best deal he can get and possibly champions league footy? (Which there is nothing wrong with by the way).

If people on this forum know it, then you can be pretty sure they know it. We will not be hanging on this lad. He may be first or second choice but we will have lists and lists of others.

People need to realise deals like this will take ages. Will be hard. And some will not come off. It won't always be the players fault and it won't always be Everton's either.

We also need to be aware that not all players, in fact hardly any top ones, will come here to bleed for the blue shirt. Which again there is nothing wrong with. We need quality. And that makes things tougher.

No reason for the deal to take this long to complete, it's been going on for weeks now. Either it's all lies or he's just not that interested in joining us.

How do you view politics in the US? Both your presidential candidates are straight from a sitcom. The end of the world is nigh.

I'm a Democrat and voting for Clinton. She's got flaws to be sure, but to think she has flaws in the same UNIVERSE of Trump is insane. She might be a disappointing president. He could singlehandedly damage the US irreparably.

I'm not particularly interested in politics but I'm absolutely baffled that Trump is in serious contention to become president of the US. I mean seriously, I can't understand how that's happened. It's like appointing Jeremy Clarkson as prime minister. Might be a laugh to begin with but ultimately he's going to destroy your country.

I felt the same way about Brexit. The lesson is that ANYTHING is possible.

We are baffled as well....the whole thing is mind boggling.

The interesting thing is had either party nominated almost anyone else they most assuredly would have won. If the republicans had nominated anyone sane I think they would have found Hilary there to be beaten. Had the democrats nominated someone other than a person that about half the country dislikes and more than half does not trust, they would have slaughtered trump. As it is these two will make it go down to the wire.

I have never been so unenthusiastic about our choice (which is saying something). The candidate I support never wins the primary, but usually I can at least settle on the person that comes through. This year is just chaos.

Speaking of choices, and in the interest of staying on topic, we need to give Axel a deadline to make a choice and then we move on. I would tell Zenit that if they want the money we are offering then they should help him to get it figured out by Wednesday.

Then if it does not work buy Gueye, and take the money saved to make even stronger offers on/to Carvalho, Koulibaly and Mata - all of whom I want more than Witsel anyway.
