Lukaku on 75k pw so a new contract would eat up anywhere from 50-70k pw mate
Barkley on 60k so going to 100-120kpw theres another 40-60k pw
and if stones stays then a new contract for him - christ think hes on 30k pw atm so looking at another 70-90k pw as he'd want parity almost certainly with any new barkley contract

never mind as soon as new contracts start getting handed out or players brought in on big contracts then the likes of Mori, Deulofeu etc would all be wanting to renegotiate

Makes me question even more the contract signing of darron gibson and oviedo last season

sounds like he could be our kante, the player we all hoped mccarthy would be

McCarthy is a very decent holding midfielder.

Witsel is a good holding player, but is at his best in a box to box role.

Him and McCarthy would be a good pairing, IMO, not to mention we also have Barry, Besic, Gibbo and Clevs still in as midfielders!

...I think the point was a disparity in contracts would lead to disquiet in the dressing room but we are in transition and our wage structure will change. Those on existing contracts will get improved deals if they deserve it.

Hes defo a 6, but he does have a fairly decent passing range and can play box to box if needed, but defo a 6.

Depends mate.

QPR biggest failire was signing a load of players and expecting them to form a team despite never playing together or half of them even playing in this country before.

If we sign players correctly and not overload the first 11, rather sign key players (witsel/mata) and then add to the squad over a longer term then we won't really have a negative effect to the team. Either that or sign 4-5 players for the 11 and then essentially tell them you are the team now for the future, ala city did with their first rush of signings.

This pal, the way to stop this would be 3,4 or 5 very good signings and not 10 or 11 like qpr did every window.
Peoplw tend to forget we still have some very good footballers who could easily play for a champions league side
Deulofeu, Coleman, Baines, Stones, Lukaku, Barkley & Kone are all top class footballers who most teams in league would love to have plus the likes of Funes Mori etc.
QPR had to start off trying to replace Shaun Derry & Jamie Mackie
