Bottom line for me, some people still be happy to see Koeman fail on here so they can say "told you so".

I don't think Del needs replacing as such as he wasn't a fixture in Koeman's first season was he. It's like saying we need a replacement for McGeady and Niasse.
This tends to be the aim of any sports team FYI.
Strictly true. A team of 11 will beat 11 individuals if all other things are equal. Not strictly true.

I cant be bothered to go back to last seasons discussions when we hired the bloke but he's not a successful manager unless we class Holland as the epicentre of glory.
We had the stars and needed the supporting cast. now we have the supporting cast and no stars.
No head falling off here...but where are the top quality replacements? Weve brought in an ageing star and a lot of supporting cast members...
RS last season signing Mane comes to mind....this season Milan signing a few big names...
Quite a few examples...
Rooney due to the name. Hes looked finished for ages.
Regarding Baines, its not about 'whose the best left back' but more about 'can he play 2 games a week' and 'can he keep consistency' and also 'if he gets injured can Connolly step up'.
Williams is 33 next month, Baines is 33 in December. At some point you need to look at them and go up a level if were serious about top 4.
Baines is past it man
Again I argue Baines is a top 4 left back right now, so I'm not sure how you can knock him as hindering our top 4 aspirations. Finding depth for the position and a future replacement is an entirely separate argument and one that I can support, but it's unfair to say Baines is somehow holding us back.
My Williams point was that you seemed to insinuate that he was a major step down from Stones, which he is not. Age isn't a valid argument in debating a players' quality.
Name 4 LBs in the league you would take over Baines today.

A Moyes team in the Moyes era, under them circumstances it wasnt always a bad thing even if very frustrating, however what followed was a disgrace, but if we are going back to a Moyes team as in one that has a shot of a top 4 place then its all good with me.
With the added spending power we have now and the youth set up we are looking much better in so many ways
