Baines: We have no chemistry

Some, quite wrongly I think, underestimating the BAINES comments....it's powerful stuff and, genuinely, I think it'll set the ball rolling...it's just a matter of which way it goes from here...the one thing it will unquestionably do is open up a series of questions and examination behind the scenes...he's a senior, well-respected pro, highly thought of...all that...but for the most he's a quiet kid...that's why I think the impact of the int's gonna be big in numerous ways, both in and out of the club (media/story wise). In many ways he's the perfect candidate to make such an outburst really...y'know, if you were gonna pick someone to do it then he is...he's perfect really...

And that's about the only thing that's been well managed with this squad lately.

Personally I take the chemistry bit to be applied directly and aimed at the management/coaching side of stuff.

Anyone watched JONES take a session on the pitch?

I rest my case....

But he didn't even say what the headline here is saying he said.

I think folks making a huge deal out of nothing. A respected, senior player expressing frustration after another disappointing result.

The fans deserved nothing less than a player allowing an interview to try to explain that they are just as frustrated as we are.

Far too much reading between the lines and making stuff up.

Leighton Baines has admitted “There’s no chemistry between the players

I guess the left back ambling back into position whilst the opposition are attacking doesn't help either does it

The magic has gone.

It's like a bad relationship. You can try and hold on to the coattails of the good times, but they're never coming back.

Something stinks, the players are now publicly stating their dissatisfaction, Lukaku, now Baines, and Jagielka just looked mortified post match. His comments about not being sure how to fix things. They all keep mentioning the same thing 'Playing to strengths', I don't think it's a coincidence.

They've lost faith in Roberto, and you can't let that happen. Roberto out before its too late. Play to a system which fits our club.

Well...he was pretty out of form. Think he wanted to play off a striker...but he was played mostly in wider positions. He would tend to drift deep to get the ball and come in more narrow, which left us unbalanced. I guess for me it came down to a few things, based on the evidence that is available. 1. He was not playing well in a wide role. 2. He would have replaced Ross in the middle. 3. I doubt Ross was ever going to be benched for a 33 year old. 4. Come January it was apparent that we were going nowhere in the league and dumped his wages.

We didnt dump his wages.

He ran as fast as he could.

I think it is all the more telling that these quotes have come from in martinez's words 'an icon at our football club'. Well done Bainsey for speaking up and telling it as it is, what all fans can see on a match day. Let's hope this has ruffled a few feathers in particular moshiri to have taken note.

Kenwright has a personal relationship with some of these senior players. Seems difficult to reconcile all these things as truths: Martinez still has the backing of the players, Kenwright still backs the manager long term, players feel comfortable to speak out negatively about the team set up and dynamics.

Kenwright may back Martinez long term but I hope and pray moshiri doesn't.

The key in these comments for me is the fact he is saying we are relying on individuals too much. I think this points to Barkley getting no goalscoring help at his young age and Lukaku.

Martinez out. Royle in.

and you know all this for a fact or are you, like most, just making assumptions?
