No matt, I'm saying that by and large they are British citizens. As such they have as much right to overdress as some have to dress like prostitutes, so long as they don't break the law. So you're saying that one set of British citizens, because they belong to a different religion and the country where their religion is practised a lot have different practises are fair game for being singled out and treated differently? Having being on the business end of such British hospitality I find it does smack of ignorance.

I've been on the receiving of the reverse in business out in the M/E and so don't plead like you're a martyr or that Big Bad Britain's up to no good in this.
Because its not. I've given a concrete example of where you or me would be treated differently out there. Which no one has yet explained either.

Hello, are you listening. Most of the people you are talking about are British citizens. What has nationality in another country got to do with them? Is this some sort of "They're all alike kind of thing".
There's not many other countries I'd like to take out nationality on, but as a non muslim, the middle east countries wouldn't be my first destination, so I really don't understand the link between being a national of another country and banning the burka.
Perhaps this shows my utter ignorance, but it simply doesn't make sense.

I'm with Matt on this one....If you even want to start-up a business in UAE you have to have a local UAE resident "sponsor" who effectively does fuk-all yet takes 10% of your profits....Can you imagine it if you leveraged that deal at Mr Al Fayed when he bought Harrods..

Our Country and society in general is both open and tolerant of all religions, cultures, faiths, and beliefs....yet ther are some who seek to undermine that and the Burka is one statement of defiance, that effectively says "thanks but fuk u"....
Ban it ...ban it now.....and our society will be better for it
