O hush you silly boy. You're the one that's ignorant, thinking that the Burkah is an acceptable part of our society, that it couldnt possibly hinder security, that it isn't possibly an instrument of oppression, that it isnt used SOLELY for a Muslim mans own pride and jelousy.

How anyone who isn't that way inclined think that the Burkah has a place over here is beyond me. It is not racist to just tell the truth. It's got nothing to do with race as I have said, if christians wore it I'd say the bloody same and there are white British converts who wear it I'm sure. It is because of people like you, people that FEAR being called racist that we let this stuff go. We let these kinds of Muslim get away with far too much. And no they dont want to integrate. Thats why they live in there own little ghettos wear they preach hate to eachother. I've seen it with my own eyes, let alone hard evidence in the media. I dont fear it, because I know they will NEVER win. I do worry that if things keep going the way they are that the far right (which is growing everyday in England) are going to revolt and there maybe some sort of mini civil war, because my IGNORANT friend things are going too far- on both sides. The minority of Muslims who make demands, sectarial behaviour, soldier picketing, and hate rallies are feeding the hate for the skinheads and the BNP muppets and also making it easier for normal English people to vote for one of these right wing groups. I have a little bit more about me, which means I know that hate is not the answer and wouldnt vote for the BNP or any such group but I can sympathise with decent British people who maybe inclined to vote that way. Back on topic, the Burkah wearing in our society is ridiculous for all the reasons I have mentioned.

If you want to quote me please god address the whole of what I'm saying, you are DELIBERATLY ignoring whole chunks of what I'm saying in an attempt to aid your argument as I am aware that in an argument like this if you quote a small bit of something it can make something look completly different and out of context. I know that is what people like to do. Just makes you look weak and clueless which is what some of you are by the looks of it.

Basically no to hate on both sides. No to the Burkah just because no, we do not opress women in this country. Conform to our social conduct or BIBI!!

If they misbehave, they can be punished, but I can't see how wearing something constitutes this.

And I am aware of what the Burka symbolises, but they do have the choice. They could quite easy go to the police if they felt they were being abused by their husbands.

Please dont be blind. These women dont have a choice.
 

It's not a black and white picture. Some women are forced into the burqa, some wear it through choice. As I said before, the ones who are forced into it are just going to be forced to stay in the home if it's banned. You complain about them not integrating, well this will only make it worse. There's only a few thousand women at the absolute most who wear it in this country. A ban on the burqa would be using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut.
 
I just realised that its the french who are actually planning to ban the burqa.

"France's lower house of parliament has approved a bill that proposes a ban on wearing the full Islamic veil or burqa in public. There were 335 votes for and only one against the bill in the 557-seat national assembly. "

Did the other 221 people not turn up??

The French are clearly trying to ban the burqa. We may get a better debate going on by discussing French policy, religious attitudes, etc.

What happened was that the socialist, you know our working class defenders decided to obstain. Sound like the labour party?

This is why I asked my question about how would it be inforced. The answer I got from the news is that a policeman is going to go up to a woman in a Arab area (I'm assuming that its worn around a familiar place rather than up town) and tell the woman to take off her veil in public.

In all honesty, if I was that policeman, I'd write out my will first before carrying out that order because first you'd have to fight the woman, and then the men who, feeling offronted won't exactly hold back. Have we all forgotten the Frech riots a few years back? All for what? A few thousand women, many of whom choose to wear the veil, and the overwhelming majority are not terrorists by wering a certain type of clothing.

As for pineapple, it should always be on pizza - always. I eat mine with anchovies or black olives.
