At 6.5% it's got more punch with a slightly bitter, burnt fruit edge. Very good. Not as endlessly quaffable as the reg'lar one mind.

Bloody advertising.I've yet to drink a Robinson's ale, even when very well kept, that I thought was a cracker.
The best they do imo, is " Trooper ", even that gets a bit boring after two or three.
Robinsons is just dull beer and their pubs very rarely have a guest on too .
Bloody advertising.
Jenning's ales, particularly Snecklifter is one of my favourites. Haven't had it in a while. Robinson's is, oh well, just have the one.
Don't like 'em all, do some nice strong winter beers though. One of the benefits of winter is the profusion of 'winter warmers'.I like Jennings too, but it's a really acquired taste. Lots don't rate it, but it's cracking beer if we'll kept.
First Class is one of the best 'standard' brown bitters there is. They do smashin pint in The Dispensary. All the Titanic beers seem to be good
The Handyman on Smithdown Road, which to be fair has a really good selection of beers available and a nice atmosphere.
Their pale ale is £3.40 a pint, their IPA (5.5% on tap) is £4 p/p and they usually have at least another three of each of cask, tap and lagers on respectively.
The marmite of brewers. I'd personally drink lager than drink their Cumberland.I like Jennings too, but it's a really acquired taste. Lots don't rate it, but it's cracking beer if we'll kept.
