Next time Gadget, I'm heading back into town, I did stop for a swift half in Timberwolf though.

They serve half pints to men ? The world has gone mad.

Got four free bottles of that Brewdog Punk IPA and while it's ok, I've tasted far, far, far better IPAs. Still, can't argue with free, haha.

Just has an Old Worthy Brewing Co. - Yuzu Lemon Scurvy. Imagine a lemon meringue pie with a hint of elderflower and a hint of beer...there you go, fantastic. . Part of the Aldi Scotland beer festival, get to your nearest one @larbert toffee

Now had Fierce Beer - Cranachan Killer. Raspberry, oatmeal flavours and fantastic, will empty Aldi's shelves tomorrow.

A coffee/hibiscus combo from Siren:



It's a sour with a coffee hint. Siren are always worth trying, sometimes they're astonishingly good, sometimes interesting but.. no. This is the latter.

Fantastic colour mind you.

Love some Siren beers, but am often disappointed, not tried this one tho'. Bought some crackers in Booth's in Ullverston today when visiting my daughter who's working in Barrow. Ayinger Dunkel, Weihenstephaner Vitus, Titanic Plum Porter, Wild beer Madness IPA & Brewdog Clockwork Tangerine

When they nail it, they are superb. Liquid Mistress is an awesome brew. You've just reminded me, I need to have a sample of Clockwork Tangerine. Plum Porter FTW

Agree, Siren have some excellent beers, unfortunately, I have to go to Valhalla's Goat in Glasgow to get any. The Clockwork Tangerine is really nice if you like a citrus style beer.

Peru, for South America, has a pretty strong Craft Beer game. Not near Brazil, but still a lot of good cervezas to be had.

Had quite a lot of this at the weekend and it’s possibly the best beer I’ve had all year.

Aysgarth Falls - Yorkshire Dales Brewing c/o.

3.8 % light, crisp and very refreshing.

So nice, even the lager drinkers were drinking it !

From what I read, a hotelier/pub company has recently bought Dr Duncan's and now the same company has bought the Tap from 'The Brothers'.

Apparently, they (the company) already own a few pubs in Southport as well, nothing that I personally knew however, so maybe a build up?

I'm not sure if Dom and Fiona would have the kind of capital to own such a company, so I was under the assumption they'd be managers etc.

I'd be incredibly surprised if they simply moved in as direct licenses of the pub, as although it could be a goldmine it's not a particularly large pub.

The Baltic Market isn't open every day either, so off-peak days days will be much quieter. We could be seeing a new chain of local pubs perhaps?

There is a refurb going on to open a big bar next door , the tap will then operate as the tap to a brewery that’s also getting built as part of the project . As I understand that’s not even the half of it .
