Beer, revisited

dtt.jpg

From a NZ brewery. Apparently caused a bit of commotion among the Trumpeteers.

Despite the agressive marketing, quite good! Very hoppy, but no real bitterness!

View attachment 47828Cracking session beer at 3.5 %.

The low strength doesn’t take anything away from the taste and you can drink buckets of it ;)
Golden Best is a solid beer and even better that it's a session ale - my favourite type of drink. Haven't seen Boltmaker in pubs recently but a good 4% as well.

The whole growth of super-strength beers doesn't wash with me: I'd rather drink eight pints of a session ale than a few 6% plus. I rarely go about 5% to be fair!

Totally agree, went out with my niece last weekend home from university. She drinks pints, of any strength, like they're going out of fashion. Struggled to keep up after an hour or so. Felt weak and feeble.:(

I'm sure she has youth on her side, which is a great tool in the world of alcohol consumption, but we all know that it's short lived and age soon kicks in.

Spent a few days in Porto two weeks back.

Super brock everywhere and not much else and I absolutely hated it. Lies really heavy on the stomach and just leaves you feeling tired and bloated.

Found a bar that was selling the local craft ale and that was sound though

I've just got back to Melbourne after a few week travelling around Britain. I drank a lot of different beers, most of which
I'd had before, and the one I liked best was Camden Pale Ale. I even came across it in one of those tiny eating places in
Paris last week.
