Beer, revisited

I assume this is not good ; but, as I'm pissed, a simple precis would be nice.

Last nights offering :

Dartmoor - Legend 4.4%

So nice I stayed on it all night and didn’t bother with anything else,

Sweet taste, similar to a high strength ale - like Old Peculiar, but with out the mad alcohol content.

Nice to see a beer from the South West up here too.

I'm like a bee to nectar when I see this.

Nice, strong and very drinkable. According to the label, only brewed under a full lunar moon.

Best bottled beer I've had in years. Lots of breweries babble on about fruitiness, but you can smell the fruit as soon as you open the bottle. The taste is gorgeous, full of damsons. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Seems to keep weird opening hours, never open during the day ?
I think it's certain days (Monday and Wednesday spring to mind) where he doesn't open in the day at all, where the rest I think it is around 2pm that it opens.

Nevertheless, the cellar man Graham keeps a really good pint of ale with a fair selection always on and a cider too. It's a friendly enough place as well.

With regards to the High Street, it's changed an awful lot since I first had to walk around there and it was thriving: not all great pubs, but a great selection.

There's only really the Cock n' Bottle, Barley Mow's, The Clock, The PA, Crown Vaults and the Eddie left, with only one serving a good pint so more will go.
