Sounds beautiful.
Yes, it was a lovely pint, but pricey.

You could give this a go.This is a very interesting "beer" that is verging on non-beer. It's more like mango juice with a non-ossified notochord (as opposed to back bone) of beer. But wow, it is delicious and it sure hit the spot tonight when we had dinner outside on the porch and it was 93F out. Freeze it to the point of slush and sip it cold...Low ABV to boot.
I just started to travel again for work, went up too northern VA, was 2 blocks from Aslin when my car crapped itself. Turns out the engine block had a crack in it and needed to get replaced entirely. Been home for 3 weeks but probably heading out again next week, might stay a night in Staunton actually!@riddick If you make it out this way and haven't done so already, check out Elkton Brewing Company, which was a pleasant surprise in the tiny town of Elkton, a place where few ever go. They make some nice stuff and the old building near the train tracks is pretty cool. Worth a trip.
That bad boy is brewed 20 minutes walk from my house
I didn't quite make it to this last night but finished it earlier. Very nice and fruity.

There are some really interesting barley wines coming out lately, and not the gold can types!

I tried a few Barley wines and they don't do it for me, but it is certainly possible that I was expecting something quite different and was too judgemental. When I was living in London in Spring of 2019 I went to Cloudwater brewery a few times--the Bermondsey location in London. Good place. I think I even have photos of that small little place under the portals.I didn't quite make it to this last night but finished it earlier. Very nice and fruity.
