Coleman will be a huge loss. The RSs strength is down the left with the Mane - Robertson partnership. It is a baptism of fire if Godfrey is selected at RB, but in my mind it’s the only option as the RS will target this side and in particular Davies should he play there out of position.
It will be interesting to see how much Robertson goes forward and will he leave space for James. Doucoure will be important if he plays the right midfield role.

maybe a crazy idea, but as Liverpool tend to attack down both flanks and arguably the left slightly more dangerous? And with no central attacking midfielder. Could we play Gomes or siggurdsson in the defence midfield role. As they may have a bit of time on the ball and could get plenty of ball from the keeper & CB’s and start attacks for us.

And have Allan & Doucoure left & right to help our full backs and defend down the sides.

I understand your point but Allan will not be moved nor should he. He excels in his deep lying defensive role. Keep him there.

To be honest I think at Napoli he played Right in a 2 and has played right in 3. He does
Like to get up and down. At the moment he’s probably the best we have to sit. But Gbamin if he ever gets fit could change that

Someone far cleverer than me could probably find out were Allan played when Napoli beat that shower 3-0 across the park last year in the CL. If I remember rightly he got Man of the Match?

Anyway Ben Godfrey, going to be good for us, and I suspect will be on the bench on a Saturday!

You indeed could be right long term, but the balance in the midfield has been one of our strengths this season. There is no need (injuries permitting) to change it for Saturday.
