I said before last summer we needed a centre back and posters disagreed...we got Godfrey.
We still need one more.

Has the attributes to make a very good center half. Credit due to the lad. He was moved around starting positions more than a piece on a chess board but showed he wants to play for the team. Player of the season for me. Pickford has run him close which has suprised me more than most. I had written him off.

A fit mina is a decent player. But he is never fit. So yep I'm all in for a starting centre back to go with godfrey in middle. Keane and holgate dont do it for me. Together or individually.

We need to bin Keane or Mina off, get in a Koulibaly and park Godfrey next to him. Holgate is terrible.
Mina goes because he can’t stay fit. Holgate goes because he ain’t good enough and thinks he is hard with his chewing gum. Keane stays as always fit and a decent squad player. Sign a top centre back to partner Godfrey. And have a player from under 23s for the 4 position either astley or braithwaite.

Have to agree with the above. I was more than impressed with Braithwaite in the couple of appearances. Calm, commanding and capable.
If we was in Europe I would say get 2 centre backs in. As we are not we could get away with 4 with 1 being a young player. And I’ll be honest I feel like we need to give some off are young players a chance. They are hungry and want it more than some of the crap we have who don’t deserve to play for our club. I agree with braithwaite yes he will make mistakes as young players, but if we don’t try them we don’t know are they good enough.

Gets run ragged in the two was always the danger with him being so young. Like him as he is assertive in gaining the ball, rather than shadowing and shielding. We don't have have another defender like him who is naturally good at running towards the ball and player, quick and can tackle. Just need the composed and commanding ball heading Cb to stand along side him.
