He made a ton of mistakes. Some of us were saying it but far too many were too caught up with the odd slide tackle and insisted on over hyping a young player as normal.

He couldn't defend last year. He has regressed even further this year. If he plays centre half I'm pretty certain we will lose. I've not seen a player so inept in a positional sense at this level in many years.

If I'm in the minority then I dont care. If people think he is a good defender then I dont know what on earth they have been watching, but they can have whatever opinion they want. I know what I'm seeing and unfortunately its not good.

I would add that I think hes done OK at times filling in at left back, where his weaknesses cant be exploited as much

As a centre half, he's out of his depth at this level.

We need to play Holgate, Keane, branthwaite, Godfrey for rest of the season - if nothing else they might give us a bit more presence on set pieces

The problem is if you play him as a LB tonight for example we probably don't score a goal because we already had no width on the right and that takes the left away too. It isn't a viable option even if he defends quite well over there.

Hes not going to help set plays. He cant win a header.

Mykolenko and Kenny can’t defend. We have to try and grind out points somehow. Won’t be enough but think it’s our best bet.
