No one has ever bid for Godfrey in his 4 years here. No big club wants him. Stick to your usual delusions.

The fun part is we bid against no one signing him from Norwich. If we didn’t do it he’d either still be there or at like Bristol City or something.

DCL is an excellent forward and Godfrey is a lot better than people give him credit for imo

Wed be much worse off without Dom and I honestly think Godfrey will mature in to a very good player

I am a lot less impressed about Godfrey. I think that DCL with time and consistent play time in the right set up could be a good player but no idea if that’s possible at Everton unfortunately.

….reckon the club offered him that contract because they don’t want him to leave for free next summer, he’s a versatile defender who can cover a number of positions and we’ll struggle financially to replace him.

He can still cover if Branthwaite leaves and is in a great position to run his current deal down.

Godfrey is bang average but remains valuable in a threadbare squad such as ours. He’s never going to be a nailed on starter but can over all across the back line when needed.

And he’s rapid, a commodity we are certainly not blessed with in the panel.
