It isn't like I watched Spurs zero times. And as evidenced by how Evertonians look at Bernard it is safe to say the impartial nature of watching your own team can cloud your judgement a wee bit. Also if Sissoko was THAT good why have Spurs just spent 60m to replace him?

Which is a complement to Digne more than Bernard. Also wingers can do all of those things and score themselves. It really is possible to do both.

Of course they can but if the sum of Bernard and Digne means we are stronger then a more individual winger and Digne then that's the avenue to go down. Team game not fantasy football points. However if an upgrade on Bernard is available sure, but the way he brings others into play is a strong asset of his.

Some lids just hate the sight of a player who can get on the ball and make stuff happen. If they’re not an utter crab or some headless winger they feel the need to tear them down.

Someone is having a proper wobbly-head moment. Bernard pulled his tripe out playing in attack and coming back to cover. Very skillful and had his shoe size been slightly bigger would have scored the winner against the RS.

One of those players that TV does not do justice to, his off the ball movement is fabulous.

Stats are fine to help affirm an opinion through watching games but looking at them in isolation mean jack.

They didn't. They spent that to replace Dembele.

Again why can't he do this and also be dangerous when he actually does have the ball? Do people really think top wingers like Hazard and Salah are poor at moving when they don't have the ball? This isn't a defense of him not doing anything in attack himself.

Is Ndombele going to occupy the spot that Sissoko occupied the second half of last season? He is so he is replacing Sissoko. If Sissoko really was good they wouldn't have spent that much money on his position regardless of who he was bought to replace.

Anyway this is off topic but the moral here is people overrate their own players. A whole lot.

First I'd like to see Lookman or Onyekuru given a chance. But if that can't happen my dream signing is Ziyech. That's unlikely too. The other guys we've been tentatively linked with like Under, Neres and Malcom would all be good moves imo.

If we really don't want to move Richarlison back to the left then Lozano, Iwobi, and that Everton playing for Brazil currently are all decent enough. There are honestly probably 40 players who would work.

Edit: Milot Rashica at Bremen is also a solid player who we could probably get with minimal effort. Forgot him.

Honestly he plays a very similar style to Bernard but with more ability to impact the game from the final third. Probably not as good defensively though.
