Again why can't he do this and also be dangerous when he actually does have the ball? Do people really think top wingers like Hazard and Salah are poor at moving when they don't have the ball? This isn't a defense of him not doing anything in attack himself.
I don't think i have to defend anything about Bernard's play. Your opinions are indefensible though - at least to me. I was pointing out to you a certain skills set you may not have seen on the tellybox, I was not debating with you.

Why folk feel they have to come onto an Everton fan site and criticize players without expecting the approbrium of other posters is very confusing.

I'm from Maryland. I missed a very small number of games last year. The West Ham game was one. I think there was another. Other than that I watched every minute.

And the Sissoko thing: you don't have to watch Spurs to know Sissoko wasn't better than every other world class player they have last year but that was Spurs fan's opinion of him.
Well you do really yeah. Dead weird you like.

I don't really care if I'm criticized. My opinion is my opinion. What winds me up is we have wasted the seasons of promising youngsters in Vlasic and Lookman who both could have potentially slotted into Bernard's position and Bernard hasn't really done much. But I guess his movement is good.

Is Ndombele going to occupy the spot that Sissoko occupied the second half of last season? He is so he is replacing Sissoko. If Sissoko really was good they wouldn't have spent that much money on his position regardless of who he was bought to replace.

Anyway this is off topic but the moral here is people overrate their own players. A whole lot.
Why isn't he replacing Winks?

He’d walk into all of them bar City, Spurs and the tricksters
Really? I'd honestly take all the wingers off the teams you mentioned plus Chelsea, Arsenal and maybe United. And Jota. I'm not really sure on what basis he is better than any. I know those teams wouldn't take good movement and work rate as enough to start for them.

Someone is having a proper wobbly-head moment. Bernard pulled his tripe out playing in attack and coming back to cover. Very skillful and had his shoe size been slightly bigger would have scored the winner against the RS.

One of those players that TV does not do justice to, his off the ball movement is fabulous.
As a Sunderland fan watching your games (like to watch our JP) I think Bernard is a cracking little player think he took a while to get to grips with the PL but looked like hes getting there ... Think he'll really shine this season

Why isn't he replacing Winks?
Because Winks replaces himself when he gets injured every month. But seriously it doesn't matter who he replaces. Spurs though their midfield, which Sissoko was a part of, wasn't good enough and spent more cash than they ever have to fix it. That means something.

Bernard is twice the player of the likes of Onyekuru or Vlasic.

You're talking out your arse. Looking good against Turks and Russians is a completely different level of competition to the prem.

So he is replacing Winks then and Spurs aren't spending 60 million to replace Sissoko.
