Yeah, San Diego is probably the only US city I’d consider living in.I was in San Diego for part of my honeymoon last summer, its was great there, lovely beaches, loads of great bars and restaurants, great weather and the people were all sound with us, night and day to the hellhole that LA was on our next stop.
Yes mate you need to give it another go, I tend to go through the week when the footy barms are non existent.Didn’t get enough time to see some of the Victorian splendour, galleries etc. It was Old Firm weekend, we stayed out of town a bit and taxied it in but the whole weekend was shrouded in menace, before, during and after the game, including a mass brawl in the car park of the pub we stayed in, the night before the game.
Really need a non football City break time see it at it’s best.
Can't believe no one has said London. Bloody bunch of scruffs.
Indeed, South of the river is paradise. North, not so muchI genuinely see zero draw to living in London. Most of the city is extremely scruffy and full of tourists. It has some quality areas like Greenwich, but living anywhere in London would be one overpriced hassle.
SF is lovely to visit but very pricey to live even by California wage standards.I’m not in to city living generally, but I’d absolutely make an exception for San Francisco.
I’ve been there a few times and it is definitely my favourite city in the world. It has so many different districts with diverse vibes, massive job opportunities (particularly in my industry), it’s a big city but has a relatively small population so it doesn’t feel overly busy. Some districts are quiet and suburb-like but with the vibrancy and convenience of being part of the city. Clean, cool, forward-looking, artistic, vibrant, stunningly beautiful, great weather, surrounded by other fantastic places such as Napa, iconic architecture, legalised cannabis and very liberal for mushrooms, fantastic restaurants…I could go on and on.
My only other candidate would be Singapore but that is more densely populated and I think it might feel a bit too alien to live there full time, no matter how much I loved it.
Tell me about it, I was there recently. If your income supports it, I'd say the extra expense is worth it for being able to live there.SF is lovely to visit but very pricey to live even by California wage standards.
There is no ‘Best City in the World’. Every city brings something different to either love or hate…they are just ‘different’……
stop being 'kin reasonable, Pete...
