Moby; now there is one guy I have never ever ever got.
A year before Jarre's Oxygene catapulted the genre into the music mainstream.
Too broad to sweep, Kraftwerk went forward and took ages for influences to develop. No mention of Manuel Goettsching? Maurizio von Oswald, and, for absolute fs, Juan Atkins? Without who electronic music would have stagnated another 10 years such is his influence yet hd gets little to no acclaim, model 500, infiniti, 3mb amongst aliases, his work developed anyone from Goldie to 4 hero to the track below from fugue, a track I was actually listening to when I opened this thread. There is little chance Jeff Mills would be on that list without 'magic' juan atkins...
If i'm ever stressed out this is the album that sorts it - So as you can imagine I've played a fair few times on Saturday nights.Lovely stuff, some shades of the instrumental non-drummy bits of Shine On You Crazy Diamond & Welcome to the Machine from the previous year.
How's this not on the list ?
Heavily influenced Bowie's Berlin Trilogy.
I love me a bit of Neu! but they're rock...someone do a 70's Rock thread lol
