Best pub around Goodison

All about opinions, of course, but I don't think there is a good pub anywhere near GP. Anybody know where you can get a decent pint of real ale nearby? I don't. It's just one of the reasons, why I am looking forward to the move.

Two quid a pint? Wheres this from!??

Used to like Spellow, but went in on Tuesday and it was 7 quid for a bottle of Corona, heard rumours about place, which I wouldn't put on here that would explain why its so expensive. I hope Everton organise buses for fans to go from by GP to Bramley Moore.

Why should Everton Football Club (or the match going fans) subsidise a privately run business?

They were good due to location, pint or few before the ground with your friends of family but not one of them is what I'd call a good boozer.

Flat pints of carling etc and toilets that are as bad the ones in the ground.

They had the custom and cash to improve them but they didn't.

Hopefully the new places near the ground are much better.

There is an arl pub called The Albany between Kirkdale station and Goodison.

It is close enough to the ground to be convenient yet just far enough away to avoid the mayhem that is the Royal Oak, the Wilmslow, the Brick, the Black Horse etc.

Free hot dogs?

One of my pet hates in there is when there's people trying to get served you've got people sitting blocking the bar. Does my head in.
