He’s a better option than Maupay but we will depend on DCL again.

Thankless task today. Ball was never played into his feet, never got it wide to get crosses in for him.

We didn't work the ball wide and let play catch up to make it an aerial duel. we sort of just hoofed it mostly straight and expected miracles. its not helped that our fullbacks are sub par, we're over run in midfield, and we dont seem to have anyone taking responsibility and conducting play and calling the shots out on the pitch. City would have put ten past us today. As the league is, we're in really bad shape.

Very disappointed he didn't manage to control one of those aimless hoofs, beat their entire defence and slot past the keeper. Not good enough for a club of our greatness.

Beto must be wondering what he signed up for. When he did win a 50-50 long ball against two defender there were no Everton players within spitting distance of him. And don't get me started on England's #1 genius at kicking to the opposition or into touch.

Again, not a DCL replacement. He's not good in the air like Dom is. There were a couple of times he didn't even try to challenge it when it was punted up to him. He looks more like Lukaku as a target man and someone that prefers to run with the ball and have it to feet. That's fine but as with Maupay we will need to adjust our play to accommodate that or he won't succeed.

An absolute thankless task today. However thought his link up play was really sloppy at times and still looks extremely raw.

At least fit the ball to him with some support/a runner and see what he’s got. One man against Gabriel and Saliba will always struggle

Lads got no chance when we just hoof aimless balls up the pitch. And even if he would have won a few headers we don’t have runners supporting him, or anyone even close to him for that matter.

He's Dyche fit now so that means he's absolutely Knackered from the off like the rest of the team

Could be prime Eto'o or R9 Ronaldo up front by himself and they'd be similarly ineffective in this team. No striker in world football would do much better than he or DCL could do when they don't get a pass into feet, they don't get a cross anywhere near their heads, and they have no wingers or attacking players to link up with.

It didn't work out today, his flicks didn't come off at all and he spend most of the game predictably isolated. He'll have better games.
