Apparently on the rota to work yesterday at KFC. The big man will get chances, a long season ahead and this is an unforgiving physical league, Calvert Lewin is a top tier centre forward but won’t play every minute. Chermiti is still learning as well.

To be fair, the game still needed to be played out yesterday. I could see why Dyche wasn't quick to make subs it was a proper team performance and chaning the dynamics of this could have changed the result.
We are now in a situation where we all predicted. A 100% fit DCL keeps out any second choice striker. Beto should get 90 mins against Burnley. As much as I would like a run in the cup I would rather we get players fit to stay up.
I actually think £20m is the new "punt" range for a premier league striker. You are not buying proven quality for less than that.
Its a nice luxury to have, a bit of depth up front isnt it.
Was a bit surprised Chermiti got the nod ahead of him yesterday. Hopefully that’s a sign that he is improving though. As said above, nice to have options, especially ones which aren’t Maupay.

Yes it's a fair summary.
By definition a punt wouldn't be buying proven PL quality. What did we pay Sheffield utd for DCL, 1.5 million? So if we call that in today's equivalent 5 million, you can spend that and hope it pays off but haven't broken the bank so no need to push it. At Chermiti's (up to 15-17m after add ons and Beto at 22m that is a lot of capital tied up. We need to start making returns on all these younger players and recycle into better young players and so on.
….thought it was telling that in his post-match interview DCL said “I like the Caribou Cup’, which suggests he’s expecting to start on Wednesday. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Beto on the bench.
I thought it was for the press myself mate and he has that bit more pace to stretch or take it to the corner if we could hit him with an out ball in that phase of the game when we were under the Kosh.

Dyche was shouting at him in the game when he came on the other week for not challenging for the ball but that isn't really his game if you ever saw him for Udinese. He wants it played in front of him to run onto at feet, you can see him pointing to the ground at times. I hope we can find some use for him and we did have to get someone in for backup but I did find it a slightly strange signing as his profile doesn't quite match the way we play.
