2024/25 Beto

If by some miracle we bring a couple of strikers in and Beto forces a move to a club that will play him more but pay him less, then fair play to him.

He’s not great. But if he doesn’t want to be yet another duffer counting the cash on our bench, then good luck to him. Especially as a late starter to professional contracts.

Also think that if we have to block a move because we need him, he will still give his all when he gets on the pitch. Whenever we are in a position to sell him, it will mean our other striking options must be better than they have been for a while.

Well would you rather a clumsy Beto helping to win a Penalty and get us a 1-0 win vs a decent Brighton side or a DCL holding up the ball well most weeks but failing to score and missing some sitters and us losing or getting a 0-0?

The best option at the club is DCL when he is working hard, battling and scoring like against Spurs last week and in the Goodison Derby last season. But we rarely see it.

We need an upgrade on both really.
You say that as if DCL has never won us a penalty

Expect him to play like Bergkamp or Duncan Ferguson= rubbish outcomes

Encourage him to play like Stone Cold= occupies two centre halves= other players off the top rope to worry the front row of the Park End

Wish the Dom defenders would take their love-in back to his thread where they live in a fantasy land of him scoring goals and playing like Ronaldo.

We are here to discuss Norberto. The striker who wants to play for us.
Everyone defending Dom is defending him from exaggerated nonsense but nothing delusional. Heard Beto wants to leave too
