2024/25 Beto

Beto doesn't score 5 a season. He has 4 league goals in over a season and a half. And he can't control the ball.
Don't know how you can say that when we haven't started him for a full season like Dom.

His 4 league goals in a season and a half mostly are from the handful of matches he started and then the rest are subs appearances.

People will make every excuse under the sun for Dom and then come out with nonsense like this.

Beto isn’t anywhere near good enough. Seems like a likeable, hard working player, which in modern times for Everton fans means he’s more likeable than the vast majority of players, as we’ve got used to hating them (bar a few) but the fact will always remain that he’s absolutely rubbish. There’s no future that has Everton doing “well” where Beto is constantly involved.
I'd argue the same for Dom

Jake, you know yourself that Dom is vastly, vastly better.

You have eyes.
I do and they have not witnessed many goals from Dom in the last 12 months.

I think Beto deserves his opportunity to show he could do better if was allowed to continue to start despite not scoring every week.

All we expect from Dom these days is to win a few headers (that are miles away from everyone) and everyone goes on about his amazing hold up play.

You very rarely see excuses for Dom on here, he gets slated constantly.
He can control and run with a ball, win a header and hold it up.
Beto does none of them, he literally runs into people’s legs, both can’t finish.
Beto wouldn’t get in any other Premier League 11, Dom would at least get close to one.

I expect him to score goals, but understood why he didn't.

But anyway, at least you admit he's better, unlike others.

You can’t argue the same for Dom, because my point is multiple manager have seen both in training and DCL has constantly been selected and my point was that managers are seeing certain players in training and not selecting certain ones.

If you think, from what you’ve seen on the pitch that Beto is a better player than DCL, then that’s fine and not my point. I think DVL is better, not only because of what I’ve seen, but also because professional football managers have seen both at Finch Farm and constantly gone with DCL. It’s worth noting at this point that DCL has more or less constantly played and has barely scored, which isn’t good for DCL, but it should be damming for Beto, given what we’ve seen, but also the fact he’s barely been pick by managers. He’s rubbish. He can barely control a ball. History won’t look fondly on this transfer.

Also consider, Broja instantly was above him in the pecking order upon his return to fitness and that’s with very limited time on the training field.

This bit, yes, I can.

This almost exclusively relies on the assessment of SD who rates LW Harrison as as RW, refused to play Iliman as a 10, thinks that McNeil is a 10, that JOB should be planted in the bench, and couldn't orchestrate an attack if given a squadron is F16s.

Does it? What about the 4 managers who overlooked Klassen despite the outcry from our fans?
