We paid 27 million for him ....With his scoring record who on earth will offer that amount ?
Oh dear !We paid 27 million for him ....
It is funny how many people are panicking about losing a striker who hasn't been able to score for years.People keep saying like he is the one who played 17 games in a row with zero goal.
And spent about a year trying to get him, just like we chased Danjuma and Broja about for ages. Top work all round. We paid 27 million for him ....
Well we are having trouble signing CF mateIt is funny how many people are panicking about losing a striker who hasn't been able to score for years.
I can't wait for the day when we are no longer forced to play a certain way to get a tune out of Dominic.Did you read my post or the one it was responding to? The whole point was that we would have to change the entire way of playing because we currently ask him to play with his back to goal and he can't do it. Playing in any way which doesn't involve asking our striker to spend a significant amount of time playing with their back to goal would be an absolutely monumental shift in the way we set up to play - if you don't realise that I can only assume you've never actually seen an Everton game.
Are we even trying to Joey?Well we are having trouble signing CF mate
We don’t only play this way to get a tune out of DCL. I’ve said before I think a lot of people look at the way we play the wrong way round - we play basic football and use a target man because we lack the ability to play another way. It’s why we still ended up playing the same way with people like maupay up top, it’s not necessarily a conscious choice it’s just what happens when none of your players can pass or find space.I can't wait for the day when we are no longer forced to play a certain way to get a tune out of Dominic.
Especially when that tune hasn't sounded great for four years now.

Ok mate.We 100% do set up to play with a striker with their back to goal because it's the only way to make Dom effective. The reason every other striker looks so poor is because they're different than Dom and we never adjust the way we play to suit them... It's all been based around Dom since Ancelotti. Silva tried to play a different way and then Kean was useless. He got the sack and Ancelotti walked in and it's been the Dom show since.
If we had a half decent striker other than Dom, ideally better, then we would change the structure and tactics to get the most out of them rather than playing hoofball to suit Dom so his supporters can clap him winning headers.
One day soon we will be able to watch good footy again. Not while we set the whole team up around Dom though.Ok mate.
If this was Dyche then yes I'd agree but we were certainly playing differently under Moyes against Spurs. The guy is still going to have to play some time with his back to goal but in the final third or on the counter we certainly don't have to play like that. You're exaggerating the change involved to play the types of passes that Armstrong played against Peterborough. We've also played on the counter to Beto's strenghts in flashes, see for example his goal against Newcastle. We can mix the football up it's not one or the other style of play. Anyway DCL isn't playing again this season so we are going to have to start playing a bit more football and play to Beto's strengths if we want him to get on the score sheet more often.Did you read my post or the one it was responding to? wait til he runs into the post 3 minutes in, knocks himself out, and is out for the rest of the season with concussion...Your all gonna look stupid when he bags a brace on Saturday and gets himself 2 assists as well.
Yep, you Beto believe it!!!
