I said he’s not great, read it again, but he’s better than BetoDCL is very good at holding the ball up mate - again wouldn't agree.

Not score goals would be my guess.Think we know his strengths and weaknesses now, time to start broja and chermiti to see what they can do

I think Broja starts on Saturday.Think we know his strengths and weaknesses now, time to start broja and chermiti to see what they can do
I sort of assumed that all your talk of fantastic forward play was a bit tongue in cheek and so went along the same lines but maybe not. Like I said, my entire point was that i'm not being black and white about it - he has good points and can be useful for us, but he also has massive glaring weaknesses and I genuinely think anyone who suggests otherwise can only be on the wind up or have a very strange understanding of football. To use the example of our interplay from last night as evidence of how we don't need to hold the ball up, when our forward line had pass completions rates of between 40-60% and we had about 15% possession in the second half made me assume you were in the former camp.No need for the black and white thinking mate - no one has suggested that.
Im bit disappointed I don’t see football through your eyes, it must be likeBut it doesnt have to be all or nothing, we have two in the squad at them moment, its ok to say Dom and Beto with attributes and we can utilise both depending. I actually disagree with you mostly here as well, there are real green shoots of progress in our transition, Beto and Charly linked up wonderfully and intelligently yesterday and i think Illy adds to that, we compliment it again from the right side and add a bit of threat at full back in the summer i think it changes dimensions in this team - really dont agree with much of your posts here mate.
I think you are being immensely harsh on Beto and his all round play hes dominated a lot of games and put in some great dominant centre froward performances of late - with or without goals.
Yep - wouldn't be on board with your take at all.
I think we all know he will never be a good footballer but if he had carried on scoring goals most of us could live with his limitations, I thought he was unlucky last night with hairline decisions costing him the right to be todays hero because that’s what he would been had we got just a draw with one of those goals.I thought he did quite well and I think with a half decent player alongside him he would cause even more trouble for the centre backs.
He should get a run of games to see if he can stay fit and produce. If there’s any reason to keep him, we need to see what that reason is in the next 8 games.I think Broja starts on Saturday.

Going back to 1985. my trouble is I’d be skint. Because I’d be backing us to win the league, cup , champions league in 2yrs and beto for the golden boot.
As he’s this devastating on the shoulder striker, maybe we can get 60mil of Arsenal in the summer
I’d be fine running with scissors. Unlike BetoThat’s ok mate, you keep being you and let your posts do you’re talking for you!
* But maybe don’t run with scissors.
I don't remember him missing 3 chances against Brentford. I remember 2 good saves, and 1 great save, but not any misses. I do agree that we need an upgrade next season tho.Well it’s the recruitment teams job to find them, let’s not forget Beto missed 3 great chances recently in a game, was it Brentford? He’s not good enough at at 27 he’s not going to improve. There’s no way he can be our main number 9 next season
How much of it did he see? We weren't even stringing enough passes in midfield to get it up to him and kept just hitting it over the top in any direction hoping he would make something of it.It’s ok causing trouble, but what did he do in the 2nd half ? You can’t have a CF who can’t hold onto the ball and release pressure. He’s not good enough for a team wanting to move forward and never will be
Maybe He didn’t get loads of passes, but the ones he did , he lost and on the few times we tried to build, he like Harrison and doucoure were guilty of losing ball, let’s not forget his horrendous pass towards our goal that could have put Liverpool through on goalHow much of it did he see? We weren't even stringing enough passes in midfield to get it up to him and kept just hitting it over the top in any direction hoping he would make something of it.
