Playing better this season. However I still want him to be used as a sub. He's always been better coming off the bench where he is fresh and the opponents aren't. I've rarely seen him able to last more than 60 minutes on the pitch as a starter so I don't think even with our lack of goal scorers that putting him in the starting lineup is a good thing.

Agreed Rook, i think with the right coaching and being used correctly by Moyes then he could do a pretty good job for us, he's fast, he's built like a brick****house and i'm sure he's got a few goals in him, iirc his attitude was never the best but providing he keeps a level head then i see no reason why he can't get a more regular place.

I think vic has the potential to be a good player. He's had that many injuries that I dont think he ever gets up to full speed. Ever!
To me tho, I hope his few promising performances off the bench don't mask the fact we still need a proven striker. I think decent teams need 4 senior strikers. I think vic would be very valuable as one of the 4 but I still see him as coming off the bench to make a impact for the next few seasons.

I really hope he's turned the corner. He's got three different types of goal now: a poacher's effort; a cool finish from a well-timed run; and a deft header. I've been the first to criticise him, but you have to keep playing him at the moment and hope that he can sustain that level as well as remaining injury free.
