You need to check your definitions then.

We were an "utter irrelevance" long before he took over.

It may be getting worse and worse but that has happened since the new bloke took over....

Honestly saying we are ruined whilst other clubs have gone to the wall during that time is ridiculous.

We are not quite as good as we used to be, imagine moaning about being the 5th or 6th best club (which we were for a large part of his time here) in the "best" league in the world whilst the likes of Bury are going out of business for example.

I see no pride in that. All I see is petulance.

That was all moyes though wasn't it. The only good thing kenwright has done since he took over was hire moyes and stick with him when he finished 17th.

Apart from that he saddled us with debt which we were struggling to pay off because of the interest, when the cable money Didn't come in.

Failed to move us to kings dock when we probably could of raised the money from a whip round at goodison.

Was close to administration twice and had to sell off Rooney and arteta to cover the money.

Could only give moyes 3.5m a year in transfer budget.

Allowed us to go 2 years without being able to spend any money on a single player.

In 2009 came out before the replay against Liverpool in the fa cup and said he's made up we got a replay because it ment we could get a loan in aka jo from city.

Tried to sell us to some random bloke in a bed sit in Manchester.

Locked Martinez into a ridiculously long and expensive contract after a year so when the crap hit the fan we couldn't sack him even when it looked like he was going to take us down.

In a time where it's never been easier to get money off people through kit deals and sponsorship and naming rights (throughout the premier league era) he managed to make us worse off actually poorer.

That 10 year kitbag deal...10 years!!!!

Persisting with Chang as our sponsor's on 1.5m a season while teams like Sunderlands sponsorship deal was worth 20m.

These are just a few of the reasons off the top of my head why I'm not a massive fan of the man being anywhere near everton.

As for him being a nice guy I've never met the man so i personally can't comment on him. I have however worked in theatres where his productions take place. He isn't exactly popular among his employee's.

The issue you have Steve is that Bill and Denise are doing roles that may well have worth but are not what their titles requires. This is exacerbated by the requirement for top people in those positions.

Bill should just be a none exec director on the board, a sounding board for people and a helpful hand where required. DBB sounds to me like an office manager or a secretary. The CEO at our club really ought to be focussed upon driving commercial revenues. If she feels her brief is to manage the buildings thats fine, but get someone in at CEO who can drive the commercial performance forward. After 18 months (and many years at the club) it's safe to say that person is not her.

I think the Russian was brought in to handle that side (driving revenues etc),and although Bill has the title chairman, I think his job is largely as you say.

This sentimental old fool should have been out of any serious role years ago yet here we are he is still sticking his oar in

Im not a fan of Kenwright but articles like this are nonsense,he has no say in who the manager will be,he might make suggestions but its Moshs choice hes the majority share holder

Again, you are acting like I am a big fan or something. I'm not. I have heard all this countless times. Every club makes mistakes, regardless of how we went about things or what happened it still could have been a HELL of a lot worse. Most of the above would have happened regardless of who was in charge as there was no buyer. We look ridiculous moaning about being 6th or 7th in the league whilst teams like Leeds and Coventry plummet through the divisions.

Honestly we sound like spoilt children.

The majority shareholder employees the chairman to manage the club though. It's hard to say you scapegoat the person at the top, the person at the top ought to take responsibility that comes with the job.

If he doesn't want that remit, then he ought to resign and allow someone who is able to fulfil that role to undertake it. However all the while he remains as chairman, and his fellow board members continue to underperform, questions will be asked about why they are not being held to account better.

Responsibility for what though? For us being a bit crap on the pitch? Because that's all it is.

What is Kenwright still doing there then? Why are we being strongly linked with David Moyes. Is this guy the man you’re referring to? What is Brands remit as far as hiring and firing a manager?

So you are getting angry about something that has not happened?

We are strongly linked to lots of things. Getting upset over paper talk is just weird.

DBB has to me really let herself down during this period. We were told she was completely different to Elstone, much better at communicating etc. Not a sound from her. Not a sound from her about funding of the stadium. Not a sound from her about why it is limited to 52k. Not a sound from her about why our commercial revenues remain static and we fall further behind our rivals. Not a sound from her about this poor run of form that leaves us well short of the goals she outlined.
She needs to be removed from her position and banished from the club. An utter coward.
With all due respect to her, she probably shouldn't have been hired in the first place. EITC and EFC are vastly different animals.

To be honest it would be a bit harsh to hold him directly responsible for the performance on the pitch.

I'd say he is responsible for the performance of other board members. I don't think they have performed well enough over a long period of time.

But you keep going back to the leauge placing and that's not what is being discussed here it's the fact that kenwright is a terrible chairman that's has overseen the worst tenure of evertons history. He has presided over failure after failure at Everton football club and for some reason he's still chairman of the club, he's head of the board ffs.

Why does he still have any power at the club?

Oh because he is forcing our multi millionaire owner to keep him on the board obviously...

Your solution to our failure seems to surround mainly about putting us in ridiculous amounts of debt to get a few short term fixes. Actually everyone's does. Buy players we couldn't afford, move to a ground we couldn't afford etc. Its complete fantasy.

Well with all due respect you are not on the board so couldn't possibly know this could you?

The only one I would have questions over is Brands because his side is pretty easy to judge as we see it every week on the pitch. And even then he has barely started his role.

Again, what change do you want exactly? Sack the whole board?

I’m not angry at all. Just debating a point.

Fair enough, you are debating an incident that hasn't happened. If we do appoint Moyes then by all means have a go at them for that, I will be joining you in the queue with a lengthy rant, but I wont question them until it actually happens.
