Uh let's be fair that's not what he said. "I'd rather have bad Everton than good anything else." It's more like he's saying he'd rather own a bad Everton than a good other team. Still not a great.

A right-thinking owner dismisses him immediately. Issue is, will Moshiri even recognise how troubling a statement that is? Does he have any clue what Kenwright's sacking would do to the atmosphere around the club and what an open goal that is?

My worry is that Moshiri is so detached from the club that he may neither know nor care what Billy Liar says.

I fear this too. He's outsourced and delegated everything at Everton, no longer needs to visit Liverpool, and is probably only focused on negotiations to offload a % of the club asap.

The statement reeks of desperation and someone who knows they are about to be sacked but who is hellbent on self preservation.

The fact that it looks as though any governance has been bypassed to get it published adds weight to that view - I think this will be the final nail in the coffin.

It's grossly inappropriate behaviour for a club employee. Cause for immediate dismissal really.

That’s a good summation of where I’m at and the journey I’ve been on in terms of Kenwright.

Sums up the lack of direction and leadership at the club that that statement has been allowed to be published unfettered on the eve of a really important weekend that could see us in the bottom three if results go against us.

Change in ownership/board can’t come quick enough.
