Kenwright is playing to the crowd (not an Everton crowd, apart from the HC brigade), who have no idea of the the catastrophic failures, over many years under Kenwright's tenure (whether as part-owner or chairman). When he decides to pipe up, it inevitably includes self reference comments with glorying plaudits, yet the club has continued to slide into perennial 'also rans'. His narrative should be countered with constant responses, like one of the posters did on here earlier this week, with the comprehensive list of the numerous failures and dodgy decisions which he has been a party to. He has now revealed (for the sympathy) that he has been ill for the last 8 years, a degenerative illness he believes, so it will only be getting worse. So William, given your other interest in Bill Kenwright Ltd, please retire gracefully from Everton FC and enable the opportunity for a younger, healthier, competent person take the reigns. Meanwhile, you still have the Bill Kenwright Ltd business to provide ample daily work producing a decent salary to supplement the muti millions banked from the previous sale of the bulk of your Everton shares. Cut your ties by selling the remaining shares and bleeding remuneration you don't financially need! Then you can just be an Evertonian like everybody else. The club is nothing without without the fan base, the club is not Bill Kenwright.

Yep very telling indeed. Resorting to that means he knows that his days as Chairman are numbered. The board are no longer in unified incompetence and are trying to save their own skins and throwing each other under the bus. Hopefully they will all be gone at the end of the season.

The lack of accountability from him or any of his cronies is the most insulting aspect about their war on the fans though. Club loses £100 million a year like clockwork, has been involved in back to back relegation battles, worst recruitment in the Premier League, average a new manager every season and on and on the list goes but apparently we have a 'revered' Board, led by a CEO who is one of 'the best in the business'. It's a disgraceful display of narcissism on show here.
If it's true that the end is nigh for him then whatever happens to the club will be of no concern to him. Self-preservation has been his game for decades now and if he's not part of Everton's future then he will try and sabotage that future as much as he possibly can.

It's inconceivable Kenwright is on the club's board of directors next season. And rightly so. He's been appalling.
However, I do sometimes get the hint of a suspicion that the wire pullers behind that movement are working to an agenda drawn up by outside parties wanting into the club.
There's always wheels within wheels in these situations.
I can only think the appalling behaviour of attacking a man on health grounds has some sort of hard nosed corporate origin to it.

This is what Bill Kenwright does. He does not have Everton Football Club interests in mind. He has Bill Kenwright's interests in mind firmly.
Otherwise he would have resigned years ago.
