I think that's a big part of the problem though.

Once Abramovich got his claws in to Chelsea and then Abu Dhabi rocked up at City, No chairman in the world would have made a difference!

Let's go through it season by season.

2004/05 - 4th, good season only below Chelsea, Arsenal and Man United
2005/06 - 11th, bad season, rocked by injuries and a failure to qualify for the champions league.
2006/07 - 6th good season only below Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs and Man United
2007/08 - 5th, good season only below Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United
2008/09 - 5th, good season only below Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United
2009/10 - 8th, Ok season, the beginning of the rise of City.
2010/11 - 7th, good season.
2011/12 - 7th, good season.
2012/13 - 6th good season only below Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Spurs and Man United
2013/14 - 5th, good season only below Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and City

So that's a ten year period where you've got the rise of two of the biggest cheats in football plus United, Liverpool and Arsenal to compete with who all have bigger stadiums, and more money.

Admittedly the subsequent ten seasons have seen the club decline and Bill does bear some responsibility for that.
Pull your head out of his arse.

The man held on to this train set as long as he could and picked most of the board that signed off on these accounts that just saw us docked ten points.

He lied to evertonians for decades.

It wasn't surprising to see that the interest payments we are paying out to his mates at Rights and Media funding Ltd where brought up in the report.

Presumably Moyes must have been pretty happy working for Bill for 11 years though?
Yeah until the first sniff of a ‘bigger job’ come along.

The dumbing down under Bill of expectations can actually be quantified to an extent as well, because no other manager in Everton’s history would have survived five years never mind eleven years without winning a trophy.

Bill just focussed on PL survival and kept Moyes in who had us in a relatively safe position…..a position which pre Bill was never good enough for EFC. Moyes went to Utd and had them in 7th or 8th and out of all competitions and lasted 7 months.

This is also the issue with a chunk of our fanbase - they appear to have been brainwashed by the drip drip drip of PR from Bills machine over the best part of 25 years when the only observation anyone can make is that under his tenure since 1999, we have won no silverware and only been to 1 final. Now compare that to the numbers of finals contested, and silverware won prior to that. There should be no more variance of opinion when that is looked at. End of.

What did he have to do with the new stadium then?

Who appointed her? Bill.

Why? Because she'd never challenge him on anything.

Same goes for Sharp. A hero in his playing days, grateful for a well paid job.

Moshiri installed Ryzanstev as CFO, Bill and DBB closed ranks so he walked. Replaced by another internal promotion.

It's heartbreaking to think we're we would be knowing we're were about to spend close to 700 million but with a bit of competence in place.

Apart from overseeing the sale of DCL. ;)

Moshiri certainly had him down for a very hands on role too.
I was just paraphrasing from that weird open letter he sent to us all last season.

Moyes was one of the highest paid managers around at the time he was with us.

Even if we wanted to we probably couldn't afford to pay him off and then pay another manager to take over at that time, we could barely afford to buy a player, it was sell to buy big time. Hate the old romantic view of Bills time as owner of Everton by some of his fanboys on here.

So we’re all still dead happy that Bill’s dead, yeah?

Carry on.
I'm neither happy or sad that Kenwrights dead mate. It's just life ain't it. It happens to us all eventually. He had good innings anyway.

Plenty of better people have went before him imo. My main concern right now is how this club recovers from the damage he's caused.

Nah, quote them and report them.

They’re all there for anyone to read. I’ve given you a jump off point. What happens when I report something? The mods were almost begging people on the day to show their class and respect but a couple of hours was too much to ask of some people not to lay into Kenwright or post snide digs, let alone a couple of days.

So it's gone from wishing him dead to posting side digs, quite a bit of a difference there Donuts .. But do carry on.
