I saw the game on a good feed and Anichebe worked his socks off, except ONCE when HE losted the ball and didn't try and win it back. He just losted interest, but he was asked to play on the wings, he played on the wings, he put in crosses, contributed to the team and scored a goal.

Not sure what else he was supposed to do.

Don't really care what sharpy said, I didn't see a lazy player out there in terms of jnr yak.

See above.

yes, but he's more qualified to form an opinion than us.

Lee Dixon's more qualified to comment on defences than me, even though I played left back for my school and was school captain. If you read what he said about Baines, you'd be sratching your head trying to work out if he actually watched him play.

Qualfied doesn't mean that other views are null and void.

Sharpy called it wrong, simple as.

leave yak and anichebe alone.

THE PROBLEM WAS THE KEEPER, AND THE CAPTAIN.

lack of leadership and poor defending. We scored two goals away from home. That means you should win the game, let alone against fecking birmingham.

Well I idolised Sharpy, I know he was a centre forward, I know he knows about football. I know **** all about you.

So that's where I am with this.

Maybe you should try and get a job on Sky?

Mate, watch a replay to see how a certain Spaniard just strolls by him and watches how he loses the ball and does nothing, although about no more than 2 meters away from the ball.
Yes, and I commented on that in my thread. I was screaming at the screen at the time, and I'm sure when Moyes plays back play zone, he'll get it in the neck.

But he didn't do that all match. That was once instance in the time he was on. It didn't characterise his game.

And no doubt his goal was a luck fluke?

Perspective, now that would be nice, eh?

I don't buy that either Ghost.
Just because a guy plays pro football doesn't make him right. We've all played the game at some point, but the difference with the fans is that they watch the game, and thousands of others too, and many have forgotten more about Everton than many players bothered to take notice of. Many devote their whole lives to watching football, and to credit them with less knowledge than an ex player turned pundit isn't always justified.

OK, seriously, at least we took our chances early on. I mean, who really expected us to go two goals up? I know it feels liked a defeat but then again it could easily have been, so it's more like a victory really. I'm sure Davey thinks the same and is patting the boys on the back as I write this.

Thank you.

Right. Ok. But my stance remains the same. If Sharpy who watched the game live, was there, breathing the same air as everyone else and not watching the game on some illegal stream, and he says that Anichebe was lazy then, and didn't move that ball then, then I like others are going to take his word for it, not a couple of no-marks on a forum are going to change that opinion for me.

Maybe I want to hear what Sharpy said? or maybe it's because I know that Anichebe is gash and the odd goal isn't going to change my mind.

Unless its about something else?

Can I just add, with all respect to Sharpy, Everton legend an all, Moyesie trusts him judgement so much, he works as a fan liason at the ground.

He's not exactly coaching the first team.

I'm sure he's a good pundit, but I had nothing much wrong to say about those up front today.

The keeper and the back 4, sure.

no 2 goals doesnt guarantee a win , thats why we have high scoring games often in premier league & brum are above us due to their attitude , great start but average finish as for tim not alot he could do about both goals but neville is not worth a place in side , cant go past his own shadow !!!!
