I think we're encouraged not to bring up our personal lives on here mate, so maybe just keep this one to yourself

This can be self defeating though? Sometimes one persons truth is another's springboard to a parallel or tangent that unravels. Part of being a little older is realising sometimes certain topics will without doubt always culminate in some form of negativity or condemnation. Keeping your powder dry and your nose clean can often be the line of least resistance?

I know that. But all it takes for crap ideas to get their way is if just shut up forcthe easy life. I've soentva lifetime teaching kids to speak out and share their opinions and I'm not going to wimp out now. I don't care if people disagree, I don't care what they think of me. So long as they engage in grown up debateci will respect them, even if we disagree. Some on this site (not uniquely) will simply try to make their point with insults. While insults can be an amusing part of passionate debate, an argument consisting solely of insults rather reveals the level of intellect on show as appearing not very formidable.

Chris, all you have to do on this forum is type your name and the word sexist and it pops up many posts over the years that all have you defending yourself from being sexist.

If you have to start multiple sentences with "now I'm not sexist" then it says it all really.

Same as those "I'm not racist but" posts.

Honestly don't think I'd have survived nearly 30 years on a female dominated profession teaching in mixed gender schools if I were a sexist. I think this is your perception or prejudice based on a few comments you have misunderstood or chosen to take out of context. You're not alone in that to he fair.
