BLOWING THE GOLDEN BOOT

Nice to see so many. cough, 'evertonians' taking pleasure from an Everton player being overtaken in the goalscoring charts. Such a refreshing outlook which makes me question my own support and if I've been doing it wrong for 40+ years.

Crack on 'blues'....

Would love him to win the Golden Boot.

His attitude and respect for the club seems to be the problem and dividing opinions.

The thing I like about Kane is that he doesn't go running his mouth every time there is an international break.

He doesn't have his Dad saying where his son should be playing.

Finally, he actually shows Spurs a bit of respect.

I'm not claiming to an ITK, but from what I hear he doesn't really get on with his dad, as he's a bit of a greedy tool.

I think his dad has his own agenda, which invloves trying to feather his own nest.

I think what his dad says should be taken with a pinch of salt.

That's a bold claim, worthy of its own thread. Kane v Ibrahimovic v Aguero?

I'd stand by it. I'd take Kane over either of the other two. He's the complete forward

If someone would like to start a Poll (not me because the BNOFs have me targetted for constant abuse) it'd certainly be interesting. Maybe pick the "best" forward from each of the top 7 clubs and see what everyone thinks.

I actually think Kane is less talented but he has better service undoubtedly and he strains for every single half chance. He always makes the run, always try's the shot and that's why he gets so many. Lukaku has far more gifts than him but application, mentality and desire to win for his team rather than himself are not amongst them.

And people think Lukaku's not an Evertonian...what could be more Everton than cruising to the finish line for weeks, phoning it in only to see your only competition score 4 in one game, before facing an already relegated team in the last game while you have to go to Arsenal, who are still playing for something? Everton that.

Not a bad idea that, leave it with me ;)

Harry Kane is on £120,000 a week and playing for the best team in the country, Chelsea aside.

Why would he want to move?
Tottenham will still be behind the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Man Utd pay the likes of Lingard £100k, imagine what they'd pay Kane.

Any of them teams would take him in a flash.

Going to be interesting to see how Spurs go next season, after two bitterly disappointing title losses.

Rumours a lot of their squad already want out.

Nothing against Lukaku, and I'd have loved him to get the golden boot. I'd have loved him more if he managed to get to 30.

But I think we're all doing Kane a disservice here. He's a top drawer striker who deserves to win the golden boot this year, as he did last year. He also finished 2nd the year before. This is not a flash in the pan lads.
