Kanes record against Arsenal and Chelsea

Arsenal (five goals, four games)

Chelsea (three goals, four games)

I'd like to know Lukaku's record.

Kane turns up in most games compared to Lukaku.
You know what? This idea of Lukaku not turning up for big games, load of crap.

Take you back to the derby in march, how did the wonderful everton team create for Lukaku that day? By hoofing it 40 yards up the pitch and hoping he could control a ball 15 foot in the air against defence and bring players into the attack by himself because everyone else was 30 yards away from him.

Lukaku is not the most consistent striker and yes he has the odd off game, like most players do. But the fact of the matter is, every time bar arsenal at home where we have played a 'big game' the team have not turned up altogether. When the team turns up, lukaku seems to score a little bit, when the team don't turn up and resort to hoofing and not creating for Rom, the goals dry up. Look at the recent games, Swansea, crap, chelsea, crap, West ham, crap, Liverpool, Crap, Spurs crap. What do all of those have in common? Rom didn't score.

How about people on this site generally look at the whole teams performance before jumping on Lukaku's back all the bloody time? I read yesterday someone saying lukaku is reliant on service, as a striker! Now he doesn't turn up for big games, the same sort of games where our goalkeepers let in silly goals, where the team get beat, where we don't play well as a unit, yet it is all Lukaku's fault.

Wait until we have Deeney or Shane long up front scoring 10 a season like we used to have before Rom signed for us, wait until 12 goals is a record haul in 15 years for an everton striker.

So if lukaku decides to leave Everton it will be because of the 'fans'? Be interesting to see how that goes down.
It is idiotic to suggest that Lukaku wants to leave because of the fans.
He wants to leave because he wants to play CL football, he wants to play at a club that wins silverware and he wants to earn even more money than we are offering.
As a footballer with a short career it is difficult to criticise him too much.

He has scored a lot of goals for us and should leave us with a huge profit in transfer fees and we should thank him for these....it's not as if he supported all his life.

At least let's be honest about why he is leaving......is he good enough to match his ambition and confidence is another question.

Exactly, that's why I was asking belgiantoffee to clarify

This forum is utterly surreal at times.

If Lukaku had Kane's scoring record, people would be slating him for being a flat-track bully (4 goals against Leicester - comparable to Rom's 4 against Bournemouth?) or padding his total out with penalties. Yet Kane does exactly that and gets praised because he runs around more. His record against the top six this year is 1 goal against Utd, 1 against Chelsea and 2 against Arsenal... Rom has 3 against the top six combined, despite not having a supply line as strong as Kane does.

Lukaku saved us from being dragged into relegation trouble for two seasons on the bounce and has scored the bulk of the goals to get us back into the EL. Obviously "running around more" isn't everything.

Started this thread more to point out that HE has blown the chance to win the golden boot by his laziness since deciding he was not signing a contract and could not be arsed.

It was not to start a hate campaign against a naturally gifted goal scorer, but more to point out that at the end of the day if you push yourself (Harry Kane etal) you can acheive.

Mr Lukaku, has decided that he does not want to be at Everton, and so gave up along time ago. For those who knock him I understand where you are coming from, but for those who knock those who knock him it does not make them bitter, just like myself, disappointed that he knows he will get his move if he stamps his feet hard enough and yet still has not the slightest iota of loyalty to the fans that have praised him throughout his time here.

Listen to the spuds fans and how they cheer Kane throughout the game. What does Kane do that Rom doesn't? He tries - that's all!!!!!

So please, for those who think us bitter to be having a go, step back, look at our comparisons between the two and see that we actually do appreciate good, talented, hardworking footballers with their privileged lifestyles - but do expect a little back. And Kane seems to give it back to the spuds supporters even when not scoring, by showing a little effort.

Rom has scored all these goals for a mid table team and you think he isn't trying, he will be awesome when he does start trying! He cares about Everton, not as much as u and me do but then why would he. Hes given his all and can see he would have way more chance to win trophies elsewhere. I want him to stay but I cant argue with his logic tbh
BTW Tottenham fans get behind their team generally, they sing and chant every game, Goodison is like a library half the time and so its not just Lukaku vs Kane that gets less cheering, its every player in comparison IMO

But what if?

Lets say he tracked back more - like Kane!
Tackled more - like Kane!
Passed more - like Kane!

Where would we be?

7th, because instead of Ali Eriksen and Son to support him we have Barkley when he can be arsed, 3 defensive midfielders and Valencia.

the better question would be where would we be with Ali Eriksen and Son level of support for Lukaku in the team?

Kane is an absolute beast. The best forward in the Premier League by a distance and easily the in top 10 in Europe at the minute after the usual suspects of Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, Suarez, Ledanowski, Abeymang.
