Whoops! Well it was a no on that poll and a no on this one so far (which does surprise me).

I find it hard to see why people are so against it as to me it is reclaiming our history and heritage and also not letting LFC claim the city's symbol as theirs.

That said democracy should win so good luck to you all.

Not sure if I'm reading too much into Dan Meis's posts today or not but he certainly seemed to be dropping a hint...
Voted no but wouldn't really have a strong opinion either way, if we are going about reclaiming our history I'd sooner we had a way of paying the bloody rent and using anfield as a training ground for our under 8s, complete with bouncy castles and sandpits.

Over to you Mosh

I agree with you it is a bit cringe worthy for me . But considering how rotten it felt to be at the receiving end of their 'banter' at the time of the Kirby fiasco, I don't blame anybody for wanting to give a bit back.
Abuse them by all means, all day, every day. I however will bite my lip over trying to rub their noses in anything until we have something other than possibilities to rub it in to. Too many painful slapdowns over the 40+ yrs I've been a blue to go with any other option.

Soon....

What is the point of this?

It's a riposte to all those reds who constantly barracked us with the following song between 2007 and 2009:

"The city's all ours,
The city's all ours,
F*** off to Kirkby,
The city's all ours."

I think it looks great.

With this thinking, we'll forever be in Liverpools shadow.

Our Tower should be our identity. It has been for that for almost 100 years. We aren't a new club, we are a great club with a rich history. Embrace it.
speaking of identity who was your previous banned identity you schmuck?? you dirty rat pretending to be from zagreb. i will crush you.

Since Victorian times, Man Utd's crest has depicted a ship in full sail, which is a reference to Manchester's trading base and to the Manchester Ship Canal. And since the 1950s, many of the concourses of Old Trafford have been adorned with sailing ship murals.

Man City incorporated said ship onto their crest in more recent decades and they've won two league titles and two FA Cups in the last 6 years.

Are you suggesting we nick their ships George.......?

I'll try anything me like.

But Liverbird is center piece of Liverpool crest. If you ask 1000 people neutral people what Man United crest is they would say a devil. Maybe one or two would know it has a ship in it.

If you ask what Man City crest is nobody would know. They might remember that bird crest from some time back.

Man United have the devil, Liverpool have the bird, we have our Tower, Arsenal have their cannon. If people want the Liverbird somewhere on the jersey, maybe over the name on the back, OK, but to try a new branding is crazy. We are not a nobody club.

We'll be there on every future picture of our city's iconic skyline. State of the art, shiny new stadium. The actual Liver Birds will be just along that skyline gazing at us in awe. The world will follow.

Let them keep their pigeon.
