Yeah, and call one of our new stands the kop!!!!

Come on fellas, just let it go, we lost any right to the Liver Birds years ago, we have our own identity in a certain little tower which will now look over us in our nice new shiny stadium.

MOve on, spend time thinking about Everton and not that crowd miles away from the city centre.

We are Everton, we are better than pinching another clubs emblem for what?
So it's actually "another clubs emblem" and not the citys?

In the minds of football fans all over the world - yes, sadly.

Indeed, LFC actually own the trademark for the Liver Bird in the European trademark office.

Sometimes you just haver to roll with the punches.

We should boldly take innovative approach and test boundaries. EFC is the senior club of the city and we are off to waterfront.

The RS have just announced that if we nick their bird, they're going to replace their badge.

Here's the favourite so far.....

Why the [Poor language removed] are you lot on here arsed about what the red [Poor language removed] think when it comes to the new stadium or whether we should have a blue liver bird on it? I've even read posts on here about incorporating the word 'Liverpool' somewhere in the naming of our new ground just to piss them off?! I can't stand that lot as much as the next Evertonian but some of you are seriously obsessed and it's absolutely embarrassing .

Some people may have mentioned pissing off the Kopites but I think you'll find that most people on here who want the bird want it to reclaim our tradition and history and place in the city.

We used the Liver Bird before they did and before we used PRT. We are Evertonians - we love our history. Let's bring back part of the best representation of that and remind people of our history and place in and association with the city

Let's not get petty, are you a red?

They have had it emblazoned on their shirt for what seems forever, who gives a flying liverbird who actually owns them, what would you be saying if they wanted a certain tower on their shirt as it was closer to Analfield?

Don't be bitter, we are getting a stadium on the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey, the first major site any visiting ships will see is us, the last thing Norwegians flying out of John Lennon Airport will see before they turn towards their home is our new stadium........

Etc, etc, etc. Cake and eat it springs to mind.:drunk::cheers::bye:;)

I agree with you on that note that our new stadium will be a game changer and we must use it wisely -obviously from marketing perspective too....we are gonna be in Liverpool skyline and kopites are far far away

I wouldn't want a great big flat plastic blue one stuck on the side of the stadium, but say if it's designed to fit in with more of the three graces style architecture, then wouldn't have a problem with 1/2/3 or however many sitting on top of it as per the liver building.

As another poster said, it's an emblem of the city and has been for long before the RS appropriated it. A royal blue Liver bird would show that we are proud of our city as well as our club. The fact that it would wind up their out of town fans (i.e. most of them) would be an added bonus.
A few years back I used a blue Liver bird as a logo for a local tour business which meant that I had to explain the none too subtle dig at our friends across the park to tourists from all over the world.
