Everyone is overlooking the fact that it's a desperately nasty bird. The avian version of a smackhead.

Well we want an intimidating nasty atmosphere in the ground and a competitive nasty attitude on the pitch so I've no problem with that

Ive loved our crest since I was a kid and much preferred it to the bird. We'll always be recognised by Rupert's Tower and in spite of the historical angle to the bird, I don't want want our identity tarnished by a symbol that is now recognised as being the RS. They'll be well choked enough when were in situ on the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey...and I want the first crest seen by all the liners coming along the Mersey to be a massive one of ours on the riverside of the stadium....not a diluted version of theirs.

No. Be extremely small-time to put something on the stadium purely to wind up the other lot on the side of park.

I get some people don't like how the Liverbird has been hijacked as their image rather than the city itself but let it go. We have our own identity, be proud of it.
This. They should not even be in our thoughts

Changed my mind on this a few times from when the original poll came about.
I've come to the conclusion that we should acknowledge the symbol of the place where Everton actually is. Like it or not Everton is in Liverpool.
Having it on the stadium represents that you are now in Liverpool. As ships, cruise liners etc come into Liverpool the first visible sign they will see as Liverpool symbol will be the stadium - way before the liver building would be in sight.
I am from Liverpool and lived here all my life and immensely proud of my city. I think we should have it on the stadium facing the sea (In blue of course) to let travellers know they have arrived in our great city - regardless of the football club. It may even make people more curious to come and take a look and visit the ground.

Folk are looking at it through 21st century eyes, where everything is a trademark to be cashed in on. Liverpool football Club took the symbol of Liverpool the city. If it was such a big deal, why was nothing said? Could it be that Everton football Club were looking more locally and not considering themselves representative of the entire city? Who knows. But to now bleat about it is just pathetic.

We're the first team to be located in Liverpool. The liverbird is THE global icon of the city.

I see no issue with associating us with it as an icon, just not on the badge.

Possibly a statue of it on the stadium as a polite reminder that it's our home city, not theirs.

The Liverbirds are going to be associated with us whether we like it or not.

Just think of how many panoramic photos / video clips theres going to be of the new stadium looking down to the Royal Liver Building, and vice versa.

Didnt the other lot copyright the liverbird a while ago? or am I just imagining that?

They didn't copyright it as such, just the version used for their commercial purposes.

I say use it, it's part of our heritage and the symbol of our city.

Let them have the bird, let them have the Echo, let them have our original cast off ground and their big stand.

Times are changing and we are moving forward and whilst we absolutely know our history we should not get bogged down or sidetracked by it.

We are who we are, we already have our own unique identity, our own crest/badge, we don't need to get bent out of shape to score cheap points with the belters across the park - the reaction to the dock tells us all that we are doing enough of that already by simply moving onwards and upwards and they cant stand it. Forget about them, what they have had in the past, what they have now - they are irrelevant.
