Boxing

Interesting article on epinephrine (adrenaline) use in boxing.

http://www.maxboxing.com/news/max-boxing-news/the-use-and-potential-abuse-of-epinephrine-in-boxing-

Granted adrenaline isn't roids its still a performance enhancer.

I'm starting to think that the only sports dirtier than boxing is the UFC (which won't test at all) and horse racing.

drugs prevention is boxing is shocking, when you consider the nature of the sport is really is astounding, I realise floyd may have had personel interests when he brought up drug testing, but everything he said is valid, and if had been someone more likeable saying it you'd hope more fans would have took notice

IBF have just ordered an immediate rematch for froch and groves, far from meaning it will happen, its interesting all the same, I don't fro one second believe froch will fight golovkin at this stage of his career, nor do I blame him, chavez jr is already scheduled to fight brian vera in march, so fingers crossed this could happen. Whoever wins could go on to chavez jr in vegas and make serious money, doubled with the fact that chavez jr is utterly terrible

Actually think Froch will bottle it, he was so confident he was going to ease to victory but was taken right to the limit. Hope it does go ahead and hope he gets smashed. Will be another gooden

I don't think Froch will want to know tbh.

UFC fighters get tested, quite a few are banned for PED's, and Nick Diaz for weed in his system.

To be honest, the majority of top athletes in every sport are on some form of illegal PEDs.

money talks though mate, chavez unavailable, golovkin a far tougher task than groves, ward unwilling to come to the uk and not much interest in the match in the us, circumstance alone means there is still a chance

Fair point mate.

Golovkin would be all wrong for Froch IMO. I'd say that's where the money is.

golovkin is a beast, he'd be a small super middleweight, but I still think he's good enough and thats by far the money division in comparison to middle, unless he can coax martinez into a fight, who at this stage of his careers he would beat, ward could probably tame him, but as decent as super middle is he could probably beat everyone else, if he was american he would be an international superstar by now

Groves is in a rare position, a repuatation enhanced by defeat, as a result his performance while very good, and far better than i predicted, has reached mythical status, also in part to halling and watts one eyed commentary, he won the first half of the fight clearly, but I agree with ste, a rematch is a long way from a forgone result should it happen

Don't think he'd get a glove on ward myself. Not many that would to be fair to him. Martinez has took a few challenging fights so he might go for it. Doesn't seem to shirk much.

That's one I'd love to see BTW.
