Best outcome for Canelo would be to go up and beat Makubu and make an agreement in principle with Beterbiev/Bivol to fight each other, winner gets the payday with Canelo, only leaves him one fight away from being undisputed at LHW there.

He always fights in May on cinco de mayo, if Beterbiev etc get a move on they could have the self in prime position for that.

Most of the best cruisers have been in the world series of boxing over the last few years so that's probably how he has avoided Usyk/Breidis etc. Breidis is by far the best cruiserweight at the moment.

I would quite like to see Callum Smith against Bivol but I can't see that happening next.
 

Bredis brilliant, CW used to be and unreal division with him Usyk, Gassiev, Glowaki and co all about.

Gotta admire Canelo snd respect him for what he’s trying to do but constantly going up in weight and back down will eventually cause his body to break down.

So many interesting fights for him at LHW like some have mentioned, surprised he isn’t going for the Benevidaz fight around the Cinco De Mayo weekend though. That’s a huge fight, especially if Benevidez is in the right place, physically and mentally.

Wasn’t the biggest Canelo fan, still ain’t but can’t dispute what he’s doing for Boxing at the minute. If he beats Makubu, wouldn’t be surprised to see him go one step forward and try and challenge Oscar Rivas for that Bridgerweight WBC title to try raise eyes to that division.

the Aussie lad talks a good game that’s for sure. Hopefully it’s a good fight as it means getting up for Brentford away 3 hours earlier than planned. The fight will no doubt be the highlight of a long and miserable day lol
