"He trains relentlessly, doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke and never allows himself to get out of shape."

Mayweather v. Pacquiao could forever be known as the greatest fight that never happened.

“I don’t need him,” Mayweather says dismissively when Pacquiao’s name comes up. “I’m comfortable where I’m at.”

Despite his nickname of “Money,” he swears that something else drives him. “Legacy keeps me hungry. It’s not about the money anymore. I want my name and the Mayweather brand to live on.”

But what if Muhammad Ali had never faced Joe Frazier? Would his legacy be what it is had he not taken on a worthy rival? The risk is what makes a legend.

Trust me the fight is going to happen.

Mayweather would destroy him with a degree of ease. And to be honest he would have done a few years back too.

He's just too damn good - when he retires he'll go down as one of the greatest of all time.

Totally agree with that last part.
But I dont think it would have been easy few years back. Genuinely think that Pacquiao can give worthy go even today.

But..Yes. .Money is the man.

Exciting thing is...this match has potential to lift them both to the legend status.

just 3 or 4 years to late though.

Which is the story of present day boxing today. I've always been a huge fan but between the long waits for fights you want to see and the lack of any drug testing policy my love of the sport is starting to fade.

MMA is roided up garbage c00k fighting that only exists to sell Affliction t-shirts but at least in that sport the best usually fight the best.

Like in the article I posted earlier in the thread, Mayweather will ensure all the odds are in his favour before he signs on for this fight. Mayweather has been so scared of losing for so long now that not many of his fights are actually fair boxing matches these days. It could be the biggest boxing ring ever seen for two relatively small fighters, with a ref happy to let Mayweather clinch whenever he wants to.

He won't destroy him, he'll run, jab, clinch like he often does, till Manny tires.

Mayweather might go down as one of the most techinically gifted, BUT, he'll never be regarded in the same way as others because he lacks charisma, weights everything in his favour and fights only for money.
