Boxing

Eggs is horses. And a Cheltenham aficionado.

u da boxing maan round ere.

What's your opinion?
I'm a pauper.

Usyk. Inside the distance. fury is a lunatic that has treated himself poorly over years, fighting back to fitness is as big as fighting for belts.

He knows he has the joshua fight on tap next for another £50M.

Usyk wins and there's no where to go. Seems like Dubois is the rising star.

Usyk on every metric.

The rematch is an unjustified payday for Fury, IMO. That said, and boxing as it is...a 3rd fight @Bryan+ says could be on, if Fury wins well.

Boxing is horrid rn, and you just can't trust anyone; the money is too good.

Usyk has to much to fight for. Doesn't need a decider, it's already decided. I reckon the ref in the first had a word in his ear to guarantee a second run. This aint wilder, it's a multiweight WC. This is legacy stuff. fury can't move fast enough. And speed beats power because speed hits first. The fat, drug taking, dope excusing, ale addled, gobspite is going down. screw him and his entire entourage.

Agree with all of that and think you're right about Usyk. He wants it; I'm sure of it.

Speed does not beat power, though. In any walk of life, bar heavyweight boxing - maybe. 😀

4.1 Usyk KO/TKO looks big then;

Occasionally heart beats both speed and power. But has a long term cost, that shortens a career. fury is a very large bum that can swallow a lot of ale and a good shot.
There was this monster, no, there were two, Liston and Foreman, very large bruisers, and both were miles advanced to fury in boxing skill and technique.

Usyk exits the scene, and the lower level battle for the kingship. fury aint got the time, joshua is to wealthy, zhang is to old. There's only Dubois left, and why not, what a target to invite the new american generation on to the big bucks.

And what a sad state of affairs that Dubios is the challenger.

I'm too young to have seen the heavyweights of the 70s, but as a boxer and fan, Foreman is my guy. Imagine him and Liston in this era; well, I can't compute. Power and chin.

And they all wanted it...to be the best you gotta beat the best. A mile away from the sport we have now.

That mantra, though, did for Bruno in the end. Coulda/shoulda retired instead of Tyson 2. As a champion.

But he just couldn't retire on those terms. My father took me to that fight; I was nine and I started boxing a week later.

Think you right.
Honestly going to watch the first couple of rounds .
To make my mind up how it going to go.
Horrible feeling it getting set up for a third fight, no other fights out there gives either the obscene amounts of money on offer.

Pardon me.

  • Dubois aint no flash in the pan, that kid has heavy hands. Thrown in to early against the best instead of nurtured. $$ vs care.
  • Smokin Joe. Go give him a look and then his back story for 'that' left.
  • Boxing has always been dirty, even in its cleanest moments, lets rejoice other parasites that are not don king are getting theirs.
  • Bruno is a sad state of affairs, but never was he turning down $4M
  • The art of boxing is hitting without being hit, it's why chess is so idolised. Sun Tzu next for you kidda. ;)
I know nothing and have never stepped inside the squared circle.

Loads of stuff supposed to have been going on with Liston around the time of the Ali fight.
His correct age, outside. Pressures ect.
Lots of stuff doing the rounds on the net as usual.
Seen an interesting interview with his sister after he died , she had a few interesting things to say about his death ect.
I was to young to see him on tv ect.
But have a look at any of his fights you can see online, scary fella indeed.
Forman I caught when I was a kid.
What a fighter.

I know liston's story, it's more complex than jfk.

Yeah big worry that it's pre-ordained for a money grab 3rd fight.

But as @Rita_Poon said earlier, Usyk is probably the one box office fighter who is not subscribing to that.

Here's hoping.
