Are we forced to have him there for the whole season if he isn't getting a game?

Brendan Galloway is determined to win back his place in the West Brom team.

The Everton defender has been sent to the Hawthorns on a season long loan but has lost his place in the Baggies’ squad.

The 20-year-old has not featured for Tony Pulis’ side since September 17 and was left out of the matchday squad for games with Stoke City and Sunderland.

Galloway played the full 90 minutes for England under-21s’ in their 5-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina last night.

And the young Blues defender says he is ready to fight for his place.

“I’m going to try and work my hardest to get back in the team because that’s where I want to be,” said Galloway.

“I want to be playing week in week out for West Brom.”

He added: “I’m working with a really good manager and a really good bunch of players so for my development, it’s perfect.”

It is understood that Galloway cannot be recalled from his loan.

Although it was widely accepted that a season working with defensive specialist Pulis would be of great benefit to the Everton defender there were also concerns that the West Brom boss would not think twice about dropping young players.

Tottenham’s Alex Pritchard made just two substitute appearances in the league last season after joining the Baggies on loan in February.

I thought it would be a good move for him. Started off well but had a bit of a stinker against Bournemouth and not been seen since. Think he's also a bit too adventurous for Pulis. A lot of their fans called this after his first game when he crossed the half way line too often. Appears they know their manager well.

Hopefully there's some sort of clause in the loan agreement that allows us to recall him in January if he's not getting the game time. I'd rather he played for our U23s than theirs.

Coleman to Blackpool was a hugely successful loan for his development. o_O

it was indeed.

Blackpool fans loved him and his confidence grew. I guess it's all fine margins and these loan deals can swing either way just as easy.

Apart from Coleman though, our loans haven't worked out that well historically from the outside, Coleman being the exception.
