Galloway and Baines to me is like the Williams and Stones scenario. Williams is a better defender more solid defender than Stones is currently but Stones is better with the ball. I would say the same with Galloway being the better defender but Baines better on the ball

Each time an attack comes down the left flank do you have confidence that Baines will prevent a cross?

I'd say very, very few defenders can prevent premier league wingers getting crosses over. If your suggesting he can't then I hope you have the statistics to back it up.

Hard one to call this. Would struggle to get a regular game at LB or LCB, and Unsy has a massive squad for the U23s so he would be holding up development of some of the younger players.

I reckon it's just about the right call. He'll definitely get schooled in the art of solid defending and defensive organisation under Pulis which isn't a bad thing.

All we need is a run of injuries though and it could come back to bite us on the bum.

True, but that was a much younger man then. I just dont see a player any different than he has always been.
Baines has been a great player , but is now in his twilight years, not as consistent, but still good enough for us he is also now more injury prone letting Galloway go and the lack of signings on DL day leaves us a bit weak on the left side imo!

I do like Galloway - Although the younger players don't always make the best decisions. Galloway needed to get playing regularly and at Brom he'll be a breath of fresh air. I guess Ron sees Baines and Oviedo able to get us through till new year and at a push Funes. Unless theres another boss youngster coming through. He'd have done the same with Holgate if Coleman was fit and if we actually had another RB back up.

Injury prone? I know he has played with an injury last season ... But I would be holding off call anyone " more injury prone" at the moment... Because I think a lot of it was due to the fact non of our players were actually fit... With Koeman I honestly think injuries will be less ( not counting collision injuries) I mean hammies, pulls, statins etc

He has been injured recently like you admit last season, and maybe the season before?

You mean he started getting injuries a year after bobby took over and stopped training correctly? Yes.. I think you will see an improvement in all our players fitness... Pinear will be a good barometer I think... See if he can stay fit after 3 years of injuries
