At this stage in their respective careers Oviedo is back up. Baines is playing well and will be a key figure going forward this term.

Galloway will benefit from the first-team football, working under a defensive coach like Pulis and it's better than being a back-up here.

As long as he stays with us next year (which I think he will) it's a good move for all concerned.

I think its the right move.

I would prefer Galloway as Baines' backup but its no good for him to be spending another year on the bench or in the U23's playing against lower opposition. Baines will start every match he is fit so barring a major injury, Oviedo will spend 90% of the season on the bench.

A full season playing regular PL football for a defensively minded coach will be excellent for his development and hopefully when he comes back he's ready to challenge for a place in the first team.

Ill be honest, After last season's cameo's, Galloway rocked the first few games, Got injured but is seemingly able to now play a season for Pulis.......PULIS !!!! Manages the Most physical side in the prem... Should never have gone imo....Will be missed if Baines gets older and fatter (which he will) happens to the best of us...
